Fuelture uses the best LPG systems in the industry, provided by our
partners, Nicholson McLaren Engines. Read more to learn how the
system works and what the main components of the system are.
Fuelture uses leading LPG systems in all our conversions. Nicholson McLaren (NME) are at the core of elite LPG technology and has designed systems for Formula 1 Grand Prix Race engines. Fuelture is proud to hold a partnership with NME, allowing us to provide our customers with cutting edge technology. Nicholson McLaren Engines are the sole UK importer of Teleflex GFI SGI range of LPG equipment, the world’s leading alternative fuel component. With 28 years experience in the market, NME are at the cutting edge of technology development, using the latest generation of Sequential Gas Injection (SGI) in their technology. NME have extensive research and development facilities, designing systems that meet all industry standards. Sequential Gas Injection LPG System Sequential Gas Injection (SGI) has the same performance and driving characteristics as petrol therefore does not change the running of your car.
Electronic Control Module Controls the lock off valves in the tank and on the vaporizer, and manages the switch over from petrol to LPG.
The ECM also controls the injection timing of the SGI injectors to ensure secure driveablity and emissions.
Interface Unit
A signal from the ECM is sent to the
interface unit which then shuts down the petrol injectors. The
interface unit also has a sensor which monitors engine load.
LPG
gas leaves the tank and travels to the Vaporizer. Vaporizer Liquid gas flows from the LPG tank to the regulator in the engine compartment. The Regulator has two main functions:
The Vaporizer has pressure relief valves for added safety.
SGI Injectors The LPG flows through the common rail to the SGI injectors. The SGI computer calculates the desired injection moment and the duration of injection for each cylinder required independently. The injectors are attached to a splitter rail which divides the LPG equally over the injectors.
NME custom design the LPG system to fit the make and model of each and every individual car ensuring the best performance from your LPG system.
