Congestion charge grows up

If your car has got the right low-emission LPG equipment, its resale value may have just gone up.
Yes, even if you don't live or work in the London area. In a further attempt to clear the air and the streets, the London Congestion Charge Zone has expanded westwards into lovely Chelsea and Kensington. Motorists driving into the these areas can now expect to pay £8 per day.

To find out more about the Congestion Charge go to Fuelture's congestion charge page.

Of course the good news is for those driving low-emission cars (LPG, NG or hybrid) registered with PowerShift or electric cars. They're entitled to a 100% discount on the Congestion Charge, which can up to £2,000 in yearly savings. (Fuelture's been getting a lot of enquiries about this.)

Some more good news:

Two new cars now qualify for the Congestion Charge exemption:

  • Citroen C4 1.6L (06/07)

  • Suzuki Swift 1.5L (06/07)

These cars only qualify for the discount with LPG equipment from our technology partners Nicholson McLaren Engines.
