India turns to LPG, as Fuel Prices continue to Rise
Indian car manufacturer Maruti Udyog Ltd. has released a dual fuel compact WagonR this month, priced 5% higher than the petrol model. The LPG model is said to have 33% less running costs than the Petrol model Due to the insane price of petrol, there is a space in the market to develop even more alternative fuel technologies, which car manufacturer’s are now taking advantage of.
Having an LPG conversion in India once consisted of lifting a gas cylinder from your kitchen and having a friend fit it into your car. Perhaps this is where the performance issue with LPG originally came from! But thankfully, with today’s cutting edge technology, performance is not affected by an LPG conversion anymore.
